Androidify
The company started in the design field back in 2011. At first, it found success. But it couldn’t change with the times. It didn’t adjust to new market needs. This led to its closure in 2020.

Description
Launched in 2011, Androidify allowed users to create custom avatars based on the Android Bot.
Users picked their skin tone, hairstyle, height, and width. The app came with many clothing options and accessories.
Choices included dresses, pants, hats, glasses, food, pets, sports gear, phones, and more. Some say the variety was enormous, offering over a quintillion combinations— that’s a “1” with 18 zeros!
Cause of Failure
Google has not made an official statement about Androidify being discontinued.
However, the app vanished from the Play Store in February 2020. Its official website also closed down soon after.
The app used to be popular, but interest dropped as new avatar tools appeared. Gboard and Facebook Messenger started offering custom emojis, which took away Androidify’s charm.
Androidify hasn’t been updated since 2016, making it incompatible with newer versions like Android 10.
